A portfolio, not a calendar.
Four areas of work. A student can enter through any of them, and many programs touch more than one function of the model.
Civic Education
Knowledge first. History, the Constitution, how government is structured and how public decisions actually get made.
Civic Participation and Economic Opportunity
Presence in real institutions. Chambers, agendas, microphones, newsrooms, boardrooms and the public record.
One cohort, many rooms
We do not just teach the system. We put students inside it.
Across a single fellowship cohort, students worked inside County Hall, a working seaport, the county elections operation, a newsroom, a college innovation center, a national foundation office and three branches of the public library system.
Thirty scheduled experiences. Twenty three in person. Seven virtual. One cohort.
